Multi-Purpose Ribbon Microphone

The MXL R144 ribbon microphone offers warm, natural tone with the smooth character that ribbon microphones are known for. Its figure-8 polar pattern makes it ideal for capturing acoustic instruments, brass, guitars, and vocals while reducing off-axis noise. With high-SPL capability, it can handle loud sources such as drums and horns. Designed for professional and home studios alike, the R144 adds rich dimensionality to stereo setups and room recordings, giving tracks a vintage-style warmth that remains musical, detailed, and expressive.
